MRI Screening for women at high risk of breast cancer
Theoretically, MRI has major advantages as a diagnostic tool for women
with dense breast tissue,those who present with mammographically occult
breast cancer, and as a screening tool for women at increased risk of
breast cancer.
In the UK, there was a national trial to determine the efficacy of MRI
screening in women with a proven high risk / BRCA 1 gene positive called
MARIBS. The RESULTS have been published - see below

Prior Hodgkins Disease - High Risk Screening for Breast Cancer
To mark the end of this year's Breast Group Meeting, the government decided
to announce the requirements and provision of screening for young women
treated with mantle irradiation for Hodgkins Disease.
