Breast Imaging Group PROFESSOR
Applications are invited from Radiologists with a special interest in breast disease for a Professorship, generously funded by the RCR Breast Group. The Professorship is open to clinical radiologists who are fellows of the RCR and who hold either an NHS or overseas consultant post or an academic radiology appointment. Applicants must have a proven track record in teaching and would preferably be members of the RCR Breast Group.
The Breast Imaging Group Professor will visit a minimum of four UK training schemes for the purposes of stimulating and encouraging interest in breast radiology. At each visit, the Professor will be expected to give tutorials and a lecture. The visits, each of up to a day's duration, will be conducted during 2011.
The Breast Imaging Group Professor will also be expected to give a Keynote Lecture at the RCR Breast Group Annual Scientific Meeting.
Funding will be available to cover the costs incurred by the appointee in discharging the above responsibilities.

(3) A description of why the applicant would be suitable for appointment and an outline of proposed teaching activity

- An assessment panel nominated by the RCR Breast Group will consider applications; candidates may be invited to attend an interview in London. The decision of the assessment panel is final and binding.
- The name of the successful candidate will be announced at the RCR Breast Group Annual Scientific Meeting in November 2010.
