Royal College of Radiologists Breast Group – Patient representation
At the AGM in Southport
there were some discussions on patient representation on our group. It was
felt that, whilst executive meetings deal with the business of running the
group and the annual meetings are scientific, it would be good to have a
mechanism for seeking ‘a patient view’ or lay opinion on topics.
Following this an approach has been made to the Royal College of Radiologists
Clinical Radiology Patient Liaison Group (RCRCRPLG) who have wholeheartedly
supported this initiative. Mrs Jennifer Baldwin has been asked to perform
the role and will be available for advice. She can be contacted via the breast
group web site and Simon Daniell is presently the Secretary of the RCRCRPLG.
We hope that members will find this a useful link in addition to local patient representation in imaging and/or their breast units. For ease the PLG information document for patients attending breast imaging is now linked on the breast group web site and may be downloaded for local customisation. - Simon Daniell
